Indio, CA

Known as the City of Festivals, Indio is where music, culture, and community come together. Every year, hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world flock to the city for the world-famous Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and Stagecoach Festival, transforming Indio into one of the most recognizable destinations in Southern California.
But the fun doesn't stop there. Indio is also home to longtime traditions like the Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival, celebrating the region's rich agricultural history, and the International Tamale Festival, one of the largest events of its kind in the country.
Beyond the festivals, Indio is one of the Coachella Valley's fastest-growing communities, offering a wide variety of neighborhoods, parks, golf courses, and family-friendly amenities. Its central location, growing dining scene, and more attainable home prices have made it an increasingly popular choice for first-time buyers, growing families, and anyone looking to put down roots in the desert.
Whether you're visiting for a weekend of live music or searching for your next home, Indio offers a vibrant mix of entertainment, culture, and everyday living that truly earns its title as the City of Festivals.

The Empire Polo Club is known around the world as the home of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and Stagecoach, but the excitement doesn't end after festival season. As its name suggests, it's an active polo club where you can watch matches during polo season, and throughout the year the grounds host a variety of major events, including the prestigious Kennel Club of Palm Springs Dog Show, one of the largest all-breed dog shows in the country.
If you've ever driven through the surrounding neighborhoods during festival weekends, you'll notice another fun local perk. While nothing compares to being inside the venue, many nearby homeowners can hear the concerts from their backyards and patios, creating their own festival atmosphere from the comfort of home.

The menu is written on a giant chalkboard, and the list of shakes seems to go on forever. Every shake is made to order and topped off with one of their signature mini donuts perched right on the straw. They even offer lactose-free options! Also on the menu are malt, floats, & dole Whip
Whether you're strolling downtown after dinner or just looking for the perfect dessert, Great Shakes is a Palm Springs staple that's absolutely worth the stop. Just don't blame me if you find yourself planning your next visit before you've even finished your shake.
