Hi there, I'm Jermaine Antonio! Most people know me as a local Coachella Valley REALTOR® but before I was helping people find their dream homes, I earned my culinary degree from Le Cordon Bleu in San Francisco. I'm also a self-taught makeup artist 🎨. I'm always telling people, "I didn't know what I wanted to be when I grew up." Lololol 🤣
Believe it or not, JoMaine's Kitchen wasn't even my idea. My partner, who is also my executive assistant, Joseph, who handles all of my marketing (and is usually the mastermind behind my crazy ideas), suggested I start cooking online. His reasoning was simple: "You're more than just a Realtor."
If you didn't put it together, Jo(Joseph) Maine's(Jermaine)= JoMaine's Kitchen...
When I got my real estate license, one of the most common things people said was, "I thought you were going to open a restaurant!" Honestly...so did I at one point. Then I went to culinary school and quickly realized just how much work goes into owning a restaurant. I loved the education, but it helped me discover that the restaurant life wasn't the path I wanted to take.
Of course, Joseph's favorite saying is, "Never say never." So who knows? Maybe one day we'll open a restaurant...or at least a food truck. 🤔
JoMaine's Kitchen actually began in our Palm Desert apartment. Joseph had already started creating YouTube videos to help himself come out of his shell and showcase his creative work. One day he looked at me and said, "You sell homes with kitchens. What do people picture themselves doing in a kitchen? Cooking." It just made sense.
So we grabbed a camera and started sharing recipes on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, & Facebook. What started as a fun creative outlet has turned into something I genuinely love. Nearly three years later, people are still watching, cooking along, and supporting JoMaine's Kitchen—and that means the world to me.
